AMERICAN IRON & STEEL (AIS) COMPLIANCE
Whether your project is water or wastewater related, if it is funded through the State Revolving Fund (SRF) you will need to comply with the American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements for all SRF-funded projects. This requirement became effective in 2014.
C&T can communicate all AIS requirements to all project stakeholders and document AIS compliance for your project. We can ensure correct AIS language in the construction contract. We can verify project submittals comply with AIS requirements. We will review AIS certifications from product manufacturers for compliance.
As the CWSRF loan recipient it is imperative that AIS requirements be met to not jeopardize the project funding. Contractors, suppliers and manufacturers each have a role in satisfying AIS requirements.
